Well, while it is good to be all hooked up with the study abroad program now, it does feel a little funny to suddenly have my independence taken away after a week of doing exactly what I wanted to when I wanted to! I have loved every minute of my time here in London! Here are some of the hightlights of the past couple days:
-Billy Elliot!! I saw this musical last night and it was awesome. The boy who played Billy... wow. Ah-mazing. It was adorable and uplifting, but serious too- I completely recommend it (even if it was a little hard to understand some of the Scottish slang and accents now and again). haha
-Harrod's: although I am sure I will never be able to afford much there besides maybe a cup of tea, it was very fun to daydream!
-Victoria and Albert Museum: so much cool stuff it was hard to wrap my mind around it all, but between the Raphael cartoons of his tapestries for the Sistene Chapel and dresses from the past 400 years and the Trajen Columns... it was pretty awesome. My personal favorite: the Dave Chihuly blue and yellow glass chandelier in the entry way. :-)
Well, we have a wecome/drinks reception in a little bit so I am going to make my way back to our hotel, and my guess is that the next time I update, I will be doing it from Italy!!
Cheers!
Allie

Hi Allie,
I'm still new at this posting so bear with me.
I want to tell you that I loved Billy Elliot and I'm so glad you did too. Also, the Chihuly chandelier was my favorite thing at V&A museum. Tea at Harrod's is, as they say "dear", but worth it! I'll treat the next time we're there together. For now, should I say "ta-ta" or Arivaderci(sp?).
Next time I'll say "Ciao Bella".
Love you!!
